Works well on its own, but even better when used in conjunction with other Apple products. I bought it with the intention of replacing my cable box and saving at least $40 a month. With the ability to rent a few movies on demand and have access to Netflix, you can watch shows and movies for days. Combine that with using AirPlay from other Apple devices to stream audio and video to your home audio system, I use it pretty much everyday.

I'm kind of a gadget fiend. When I realized how much money I was spending on the next shiny thing, I tried to cut back, but it's still my guilty pleasure. Instead though, I focus on quality over quanitity. The items below may not be the cheapest, but they seem to be the best at what they do for the price. The links below are links to amazon.com pages, and while I do receive financial compensation if you buy items through them, rest assured that I only put up products that I can vouch for or believe in.

I bought these recently and haven't regretted it for a second. As I try to spend more time being active, there's something completely freeing about using a bluetooth headset to listen to music while working out. I didn't realize how much time I spent fiddling with headphone wires either before heading to the gym, or during exercises, but with these, I just pick them up and go. At the gym, I put my phone in a safe place and I don't have to worry about crushing my phone in my pocket while lifting.

A great earpiece for just talking on the phone. Includes a carrying case that doubles as a portable charger. I have had man of the Plantronics headsets over the years, with each newer model boasting better specs than the previous one. This is no exception.
